The nearest ATM to get cash out is either Hanmer or Amberley .Check the costs at different banks as they can vary, particularly for overseas transfers.

Tax and IRD
An IRD number must be supplied prior to receiving your first pay, to apply for an IRD number go to www.ird.govt.nz then into forms.

Health and Safety
Helmets, gloves, masks, earmuffs etc should be available and it is recommended they are used. Discuss with your Employer the farm policies regarding safety and also about children and what areas are off limits etc. It is law in New Zealand that all children must be supervised at all times by someone over 14 years of age.

Fires arms licence must be held to carry or use a firearm. See local Police for information.

Use machinery safely and slowly at all times, ask for extra instruction if you need it, do not say you are able to operate a machine or equipment if you are not ready; mistakes often cause injury or loss of time, money or even life.  Your health and safety are ALWAYS a priority.
